It was pretty much assumed after Julianna Margulies joked about her upcoming unemployment at the Casting Society of America’s Artios Awards. And now it’s official. The Good Wife is dunzo.

“It’s never easy to say goodbye to one of the crown jewels of your network and studio, much less to a show that is among the best on television,” said Glenn Geller, president, CBS Entertainment and David Stapf, president, CBS Television Studios. “But it also feels very right to end with the seven-year story its creators envisioned, and to celebrate the show’s final run while at the top of its creative game. It has been CBS’s sincere privilege to broadcast and produce The Good Wife for seven extraordinary seasons. We thank and applaud the outstanding cast, led by the impeccable Julianna Margulies, and the consummate writing and producing team, headed by the brilliant Robert and Michelle King, who brought to life a smart, sophisticated series that has delivered audiences so many memorable characters and unforgettable moments. It is a series that will only grow in prestige as its episodes are watched again or discovered by new viewers for many years to come.”

CBS announced the news in an ad airing during Super Bowl 50. I believe this is the first time a network revealed a cancellation during the big game. Quite a savvy move given all the eyeballs watching.

The Season 7 finale aka series finale airs on Sunday, May 8. Check out the goodbye promo below. Will you miss The Good Wife? Share your thoughts below.

It’s Lady Gaga’s world and we’re merely just living in it. From picking up her first acting Golden Globe statue to earning an Oscar nod, the 29-year-old is on fire these days. Everything she takes on lately, she’s absolutely slaying. Her Super Bowl performance was no different.

Wearing a sparkly red pant suit, matching glitter red eye shadow and patriotic footwear, Mother Monster belted out the “Star Spangled Banner” to kick off Super Bowl 50. By most accounts aka tweets, people seem to have loved her performance.

While it wasn’t on Whitney Houston epic levels, Miss Germanotta did her country proud. During some moments though, it was a little theatrical for me but overall, I liked it. Watch it (again) below and weigh in afterward.

At Super Bowl XLIX, Missy Elliott made her triumphant return when she performed alongside Katy Perry during the Half-time Show. Exactly a year later, the 44-year-old rapper chooses the annual sporting event to debut her new track “Pep Rally.” Appropriate title given the occasion.

The Pharrell Williams-produced track first appeared in Amazon Echo’s Super Bowl Commercial before debuting in full. The ad featured former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, Alec Baldwin, Jason Schwartzman and Elliott herself.

“Pep Rally” is exactly what you’d expect from Missy. It’s boasts her signature beats and commanding rhymes. Give the single a listen below, along with the Amazon Echo ad.

It was widely rumored Beyonce would debut new music at the Super Bowl 50 Half-time Show. As expected, Queen Bey delivered. Equally as expected, she did it exclusively on Tidal. When will they stop trying to make that streaming service a thing? So not fetch.

As with many of Bey’s music in recent years, “Formation” doesn’t immediately scream hit. Given her quirky lyric pronunciations and killer choreography, it’ll probably grow on me. Plus, there’s no way her loyal Bey Hive will let this fail.

Check out the video below which finds the 34-year-old singer getting crunk in the dirty south, New Orleans specifically, with her all-female army. It’s by far her most political clip yet, touching upon police brutality and more timely topics.

Weigh in afterwards if you think B has a hit or flop on her hands. PS. The Red Lobster lyric has already gone viral.

Like Andy Cohen didn’t have enough on his plate. The 47-year-old personality recently launched a new Watch What Happens Live segment.

Dear Andy” is exactly what you’d expect given the title. Cohen channels his inner yenta to dole out sage advice.

Rihanna Work: Video Teasers & Phantoms Remix

In: Donovan, Music

After releasing some rather pedestrian offerings leading up to Anti, Rihanna finally delivered a smash with “Work.” Not surprising, given the fact every time she hooks up with Drake, they conjure up magic. “What’s My Name?” and “Take Care” rank up there as my favorites from each artist.

Work” debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. No doubt when the accompanying video drops, it’ll propel the single higher on the chart. RiRi took to Snapchat last night to share a few teasers for the clip. It appears it’s shot at a bar with plenty of booty-shaking. Can’t wait to see it in full.

In other “Work”-related news, LA based duo Phantoms dropped a killer remix for the track. If possible, it’s even slinkier and sexier than before. Check it out below, along with the vid teasers.

Janet Jackson’s Control Album Turns 30

In: Donovan, Music

Control may have been her third studio album, but it was her coming out party. Not only was it her commercial breakthrough but it announced to the world that Michael’s little sister was all grown up. Critics praised it for its autobiographical themes and groundbreaking funky beats. Earlier this week, the LP celebrated its 30th anniversary. It was released on February 4, 1986.

In honor of her landmark album, revisit the official single releases below. Though “When I Think Of You” was the only one to reach No. 1, arguably “Nasty” is her most iconic. After all, it did give us the memorable lyric, “No my first name ain’t baby. It’s Janet, Miss Jackson if you’re nasty.”

My personal favorite from the album is “Pleasure Principle,” mostly due to the fantastic video. I remember watching it over and over again, trying to learn the choreography. I wasn’t alone. Future pop artists like Beyonce, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake did as well. Also on the album was my favorite ballad from Janet ever- “Let’s Wait Awhile.”

Check out all her hits below and weigh in on which one was your favorite afterward.

Not that kind of happy ending, but of the happily-ever-after kind. Get your mind out of the gutter 😉

It’s only a matter of time before Walt Disney releases an LGBT animated feature film. Until that happens, this fan-made video by YouTube user The Nameless Doll will have to do. He spliced together footage from various classics to tell a new ‘fairy’ tale (pun intended). I couldn’t resist.

Watch Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid and Dimitri from Anastasia fall in love. The entire clip is sung in Finnish but thankfully there are subtitles. Phew. Check it out below.
