Franky Cammarata Smolders For Rick Day

In: Donovan, Fashion

Rick Day must’ve been a saint in a previous life. The famed photographer consistently has the fortunate luck to stand in front of some of the most stunning men.

His latest subject is Soul Artist Management model Franky Cammarata. Like all his work, Day’s recent shoot is sinful without being sleazy. Check out adorably handsome Franky smize his little heart out below.

Earlier this week, Seth Rogen and James Franco canceled all media appearances after receiving threats from the same group responsible for hacking emails and movies from Sony. After issuing 9/11-like attacks on theaters showing The Interview, the movie studio has decided to cancel the Christmas Day theatrical release of the comedy about the assassination of North Korea’s president. Here’s what the group calling themselves Guardians of Peace threatened.

“Remember the 11th of September 2001. We recommend you to keep yourself distant from the places at that time,” the wrote. “If your house is nearby, you’d better leave,” they add. “Whatever comes in the coming days is called by the greed of Sony Pictures Entertainment.”

I’ll admit, I enjoyed reading some of the emails from Sony executives throwing shade at some of Hollywood’s elite. But this has gone too far. I had no urge to see this film, but I’m almost inclined to watch it now to stand up against these terrorist threats.

Sony’s decision certainly creates an interesting precedent. Will another Sony film be the hackers’ next target? To be honest though, Sony really had no choice after the huge theater chains caved in first. Read their full statement below.

“What do you do when you’re a full-grown man in a boy band?”

Most likely, this is a question One Direction will be asking themselves in the near future. Thankfully for them, they can watch Backstreet Boys’ upcoming documentary and take notes ;)

On January 30, 2015 in theaters and VOD, Backstreet’s back with Show ‘Em What You’re Made Of. The Stephen Kijak-directed film follows one of the biggest selling boy bands in history over a two year period while they recorded their last album, In a World Like This, released last year. Check out the trailer below which features a bit of squabbling and makes mention of their former Svengali creator, Lou Pearlman.

Viola Davis Joins DC Comics Universe

In: Donovan, Movies

There were early rumors that Kerry Washington was being eyed, but it appears her fellow TGIT Shonda Rimes colleague beat her out. #scandal ;) Others reportedly being considered were Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer.

Insiders say Viola Davis has snagged the role of Amanda Waller in DC Comics Suicide Squad. The character is a former congressional aide and government agent who sends the super villains on dangerous missions to redeem their past. She’ll join an all-star cast which includes Jared Leto (The Joker), Will Smith (Deadshot), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Tom Hardy (Rick Flag), Jai Courtney (Boomerang) and Cara Delevingne (Enchantress).

Production begins in April with an August 5, 2016 release date in mind. David Ayer directs the highly-anticipated film.

What do you think of Davis taking on the part? Hopefully, this doesn’t mean she’s leaving her hit ABC drama, How To Get Away With Murder? The show can’t survive without Annalise. Sound off below.

Saturday Night Live caps of 2014 by tapping Amy Adams to host the final episode of the year. This marks the second time for the 40-year-old actress. She previously helmed an episode of the long-running show back in 2008 with Vampire Weekend as the musical guest.

It’s safe to say Adams is far more excited having One Direction on the show with her. She hilariously freaks out when she realizes the British boy band will be sharing the stage. Hardcore fangirls have nothing on Amy. Even Paul Rudd, who joked about being the group’s number one fan back when he hosted last year, isn’t at her fanatic level. Rudd versus Adams? My money is on Amy :)

Check out the other promos below which feature Taran Killam and Adams play with imaginary snow, a marriage proposal and other amusing moments. Be sure to catch Amy this Saturday on NBC. It should be a good one.

Even if you’ve never watched Big (shame on you BTW), you’ve undoubtedly seen the iconic scene where Tom Hanks plays “Chopsticks” on the giant piano at FAO Schwarz. It’s been recreated numerous times since the film’s initial release back in 1988. The latest to pay tribute is Nick Jonas.

The 22-year-old singer dropped by the famed toy store in New York to tickle the over-sized ivories himself. Instead of “Chopsticks,” Jonas performed his hit track “Jealous” with the assistance of two gentlemen. It’s amazing that the scene is still as beloved 25 years later. Check out Nick channeling his inner Hanks below.

Channing Tatum who??? Who else thinks that the third Magic Mike installment should feature male members of the Justice League instead? Can you just imagine Henry Cavill (Superman) bumping and grinding his sweet ass on stage? Papa’s got some dolla bills to spend ;)

In March 2015, DC Comics pays homage to Warner Bros. by recreating some of the studio’s most iconic films. Roughly 22 movies will receive alternate variant posters featuring comic book characters instead of the respective film’s original cast.

Some of flicks that inspired the comic book publisher include The Matrix, The Wizard of Oz, Beetlejuice, Harry Potter and even Free Willy. Check out some of the others below. The above Magic Mike poster was illustrated by Emanuela Lupacchino.

Billboard Ranks Nicki Minaj’s Top 20 Songs Ever

In: Donovan, Music

In honor of her third studio album, The Pinkprint, hitting stores this week, Billboard magazine decided to rank Nicki Minaj’s Top 20 hits of her career. You’re probably thinking to yourself, does she even have that many songs from her two previous LPs?

You’re right, she doesn’t but the publication also counts all her numerous featured guest spots. When you factor that in, Minaj has plenty to choose from. The 32-year-old femcee is a hustler.

“Songs are ranked based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 earning the greatest value and weeks at No. 100 earning the least,” according to Billboard.

Care to make any predictions on which songs off Nicki’s catalog topped the list? The top two spots don’t surprise me but from there, I was caught off guard, especially with “Moment 4 Life,” “Pound The Alarm” and “Anaconda” ranking lower than I thought. Check out the countdown below and weigh in afterward.
