It’s been over a year since JoJo was finally extricated from Blackground Records. She immediately signed with Atlantic once freed from the shackles of her former label. At long last, she drops some new music. Hopefully, a full studio album isn’t that far behind.
“It’s just been so long since I’ve released an album that really what I wanna bring is just quality,” JoJo told Rap-Up TV in May 2014. “I wanna bring big songs. I want them to touch a wide range of people and I really want it to represent my very best work. I’m really not thinking about what other people are doing. I’m thinking about representing my personal best, delivering powerful vocals, and being honest and as raw as possible.”
The 24-year-old singer takes us to church with an emotional ballad that puts the spotlight on her heavenly vocals. Her fans’ prayers have been answered. At least for this fan, they have. #amen Give the powerful new track a listen below.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!! The worst part of this isn’t the fact he won’t be gracing my television screen on a weekly basis, but rather I’m no longer going to bump into Colton Haynes randomly on the streets of Vancouver or at the gym. Who am I going to stalk now ;)
On last night’s episode of Arrow, you saw Roy Harper aka Arsenal leaving Starling City. If you were hoping it was simply a ruse, you’re out of luck. He’s leaving The CW show as a series regular. But since his character wasn’t killed off, the door is open for him to return. He’s scheduled to make one more appearance this season.
“Colton will not be returning to the show as a series regular in Season 4, but will appear in one additional episode this season,” a rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter. “Like all characters that exist in this universe, there will always be the potential for him return moving forward.”
Some of my favorite dance remixes are usually slow jams originally. In my opinion, ballads are ripe for the picking for DJs to turn into dance anthems. There’s something about sad love songs made over with a bumpin’ dance beat that makes them epic.
Tiesto is the latest DJ to overhaul the Sam Smith hit, “Lay Me Down.” The Dutchman takes a surprisingly restrained approach when compared to his past work. The old adage less is more definitely works here.
Check it out below, along with another remix by Australian producer Flume which surfaced recently .
Ever wonder what Cinderella, Belle and Hercules would do if they had Instagram accounts? Take a bunch of selfies of course. Duh!!!
Italian artist Simona Bonafini sketched gorgeous illustrations of several Disney characters as part of her ‘Selfie Fables‘ series. Whether it’s telling the world what book they’re reading or showing off their newest designer heels or taking a selfie after a good workout, as it turns out, Disney characters are just like us.
Check out the spot-on sketches below. Be sure to read the hashtags as well. Some are quite hilarious.
The first teaser trailer for Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled to premiere on Monday, April 20. This clip that director Zack Synder tweeted Wednesday night is a preview. In essence, it’s a teaser for the teaser. How ridiculous is this insanity?
For those hardcore fans who want to see the teaser trailer on the big screen, Synder revealed it will be screened in selected Imax cinemas with a special intro from himself. Simply RSVP at http://www.batmanvsupermandawnofjustice.com/imax/ to reserve your spot.
Though the very short clip doesn’t reveal too much, it does build anticipation. It gives up close shots of Superman and Batman’s costumes with dramatically chilling music playing in the background. Check it out below.
For 14 weeks, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars have dominated the Billboard Hot 100 with their smash collaboration “Uptown Funk.” The single was just two weeks shy of tying the all-time record held by Mariah Carey. At long last, their reign on top is over and let go of their grip on the No. 1 slot. Oh well, at least it’s still in a seven-way tie for the second-longest running chart-topper in history.
“Uptown Funk” fended off strong competition from “Sugar” and “Thinking Out Loud” by Maroon 5 and Ed Sheeran respectively. Both sat at the bridesmaid slot for weeks waiting to become the bride but to no avail. Someone has usurped them. Have any guesses who it could be? Ellie Goulding, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, The Weekend, Maroon 5 or Sheeran? Perhaps it was someone else? Find out below.
It voting closed today for the Men’s Health Ultimate Guy Search, the winner hands down would be Aydian Dowling. The Oregon trans activist leads the pack by a huge margin. Hopefully, Dowling can maintain the lead until June 21 when voting closes. I’d love to see the fitness trainer become the first transgender cover boy in the publication’s history on the November 2015 issue.
“I maintain a healthy lifestyle by making sure my life is in a balance. Just like you eat foods in a balance I do my absolute best to keep my mental mind in connection to my body so they can grow healthy together. The battle that can come with the mirror can be completely dark and engulfing. As a Transgender Male, having a healthy body and mind is my ultimate goal to find peace within my soul. Although I may always have some kind of battle with my body, I continue to work everyday for a happy peace within. ” Aydian tells Men’s Health
Just in case you were wondering, Noah Galloway won last year’s contest. The insanely hot double amputee is currently competing on this season of Dancing With The Stars. It’s incredible how he’s progressing on the show. Truly amazing.
Dowling came into prominence when he recreated Adam Levine’s nearly naked Cosmopolitan cover. Remember the one where Levine showed it all off with only a woman’s hands covering his naughty bits. Check out more pics below.
“I Really Like You” was supposed to be Carly Rae Jepsen’s huge comeback. From the onset, critics praised it for its infectious beat and catchy chorus. For some reason though, it just hasn’t connected with the general public. It hasn’t even cracked the Billboard Hot 100 Top 40. It’s truly shocking how underwhelming the song’s performance is.
Jepsen and her manager Scooter Braun are desperate to save whatever life “I Really Like You” has left. The thirst is real folks.
Braun convinced Justin Beiber to enlist a bunch of famous friends to film a lip dub clip for the track. Watch Ariana Grande, Lance Bass, David Foster, K-pop star CL, Empire‘s Bryshere Gray, Kendall Jenner and many more below be unofficial ambassadors for Carly Rae.
