Winter still doesn’t officially arrive for another month but I’m already looking forward to the dog days of summer. Who doesn’t love heading to the beach and ogling all the sun-kissed shirtless men frolicking about? This latest spread definitely has me excited for that fun activity.

Tennessee-bred model Cole Monahan and Slovakian stud Tomas Bona horse around on Miami’s beaches for Fantastics magazine. Photographer Scott Teitler shoots the captivating Elite Miami models in actionwear worth sweating about. Check out the boys manhandling each other below. It reminds me of the glory days of those Abercrombie & Fitch catalogs :) Remember those soft-core tasty images?

Loved “I Bet” and “Dance Like We’re Making Love,” but it seems like I was the only one. Despite those singles and other solid tracks, Jackie is by far Ciara’s lowest-selling album to date.

At least her personal life is faring much better than her professional one. The 30-year-old singer has a hot quarterback, Russell Wilson, by her side. Too bad their new relationship isn’t bringing either one good luck. Just ask Seahawks’ fans 😉

Bless Ciara though for not giving up on her career, despite it being majorly stalled. Two new tracks have surfaced online. While both slow-tempo tracks are pretty decent, girlfriend needs an energetic banger to win back fans. Check out “Oh Baby” and “Special Edition” below. Of the two, I prefer the Dr Luke-produced “Oh Baby.”

For the past couple of years, several Film Independent Spirit Awards winners have also gone on to Oscar glory. Both 12 Years a Slave and Birdman took home the big prizes at ceremonies in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

The acting category winners have also fared well. Matthew Mcconaughey, Jared Leto, Patricia Arquette, Julianne Moore, JK Simmons and Cate Blanchett are all recent winners at both awards shows.

Speaking of Blanchett, she’s once again in the hunt for Best Actress. She’ll go up against her Carol co-star Rooney Mara and Oscar frontrunner Room‘s Brie Larson.

Spotlight which scored a Best Feature nod, surprisingly didn’t snag any solo acting nominations. Buzz surrounding the performances of Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams has been huge. Poor McAdams, I fear she’ll once again be shut out when the Oscar nominations are announced. The film did, however, snag the Robert Altman Award for Best Ensemble.

Check out all the 2016 Film Spirit Independent Award nominations below. Idris Elba, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Cynthia Nixon and Michael Shannon are just a few vying for awards.

Chris Colfer Joins Ab Fab Movie

In: Donovan, Movies, Totally GAY!

The Absolutely Fabulous movie just got a little gayer. If that’s even possible 😉 The film’s official Facebook page announced Chris Colfer will join Patsy and Edina on the big screen.

“Look who’s found himself in the middle of an Ab Fab sandwich! We’re feeling totally gleeful as we welcome the wonderful Chris Colfer to the cast,” via Facebook

The former Glee actor joins previously announced celebrity guests Kate Moss, Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton, Harry Styles, Kim Kardashian, Jerry Hall and Joan Collins. Colfer recently told Larry King Now his character is a “hairdresser-slash-social media consultant.” Try fitting that on a business card.

The Ab Fab movie plot reportedly revolves around Edina and Patsy running away to the French Riviera to escape that trouble they apparently caused at a London fashion party. It’s set to hit theaters July 2016. I can’t wait.

Avicii Debuts Olympian ‘Broken Arrows’ Music Video

In: Donovan, Music

Avicii scored big with his folk-tinged smash “Wake Me Up” featuring Aloe Blacc. The 26-year-old Swedish DJ has another potential hit on his hands by once again thinking outside the box. He’s enlisted the Zac Brown Band, for his newest single, “Broken Arrows.” Who knew country-tinged vocals would work so well with dance synths.

For the accompanying visual, director Julius Onah looked to Olympic history for the narrative. The protagonist in the clip is loosely inspired by Dick Fosbury. The track athlete revolutionized the high jump event with an unique new technique which later became known as the “Fosbury Flop.”

Until he won gold at the 1968 Olympics, no one had jumped with their back first. I’m sure Onah took liberties with the real story to make a compelling clip. Did the daughter really come up with the idea? Keep that in mind when watching the music video below.

Since White Collar ended, Matt Bomer hasn’t been hard up for work. He starred in the Magic Mike movies, snagged a regular gig on the latest season of American Horror Story and will next appear in the upcoming The Magnificent Seven film remake. He even won a Golden Globe statue for his work in The Normal Heart. Who says you can’t be an openly gay actor and successful?

Deadline reports Bomer has a new gig lined up. The media outlet reveals the 38-year-old actor will headline Amazon’s Tycoon. The potential new series is based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s unfinished novel, The Last Tycoon.

Just a few days ago, Condé Nast announced it was shutting down Details. The publication which was founded in 1982 then acquired by Condé Nast in 1988 will publish it’s last issue in December 2015. Eddie Redmayne has the distinction of being the glossy’s last ever cover model.

The 33-year-old actor promotes his upcoming film, The Danish Girl, in the issue. His interview covers getting naked for a full frontal scene, his character’s transformation into a woman and his approach to acting to name a few topics. Check out quotes from the interview below along with more pics snapped by Paul Wetherell.

On The Full Frontal Scene

“Any time you get naked in front of a crew, it’s embarrassing. It’s not as if we as actors have some way of becoming comfortable with it. It would be exactly like you getting naked in front of 30 people.”

With so many comic book adaptations abound, it’s easy to suffer from superhero overkill. Admittedly, I’m about to jump off the bandwagon. I can’t even count how many unwatched episodes of Arrow I have on my digital recording device. With that being said, I’m very intrigued with this upcoming one.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is The CW’s latest action-packed superhero offering. Time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter must assemble a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat to the planet…and to time itself.

Characters from both the Arrow/Flash will helm the spin-off. Victor Garber (Firestorm), Brandon Routh (The Atom), Arthur Darvill Rip Hunter), Caity Lotz (White Canary), Ciarra Renee (Hawkgirl), Falk Henstschel (Hawkman) and Franz Drameh (Firestorm), with Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave) and Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold) headline the cast.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow premieres on Thursday, January 21. Check out the fresh new trailer below.
