Leona Lewis Teases New Music On Facebook

In: Donovan, Music

If Leona Lewis gets her Christmas wish, 2015 will see her long overdue comeback become a reality. After leaving her longtime label Syco and Simon Cowell due to ‘creative differences,’ the 29-year-old singer found a new home over at Island Records. I don’t blame her. They definitely mismanaged the hot mess that was Glassheart.

With a new label, hopefully Lewis can recapture her magic and live up to her potential. It’s a shame the X Factor alum hasn’t reached the same heights of her massive hit “Bleeding Love” again. She’s far too talented to quietly fade into the abyss of one hit wonders.

Armed with just a piano and another musician, Leona shared a preview via Facebook of what’s hopefully to come. She sounds fantastic on the powerful track allegedly titled “Fire.” She’s giving me Emeli Sande vibes with a touch of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep.” Give it a listen below.

Stephen Colbert Bids Adieu In Star-Studded Farewell

In: Donovan, TV Shows

The end of an era on Comedy Central took place last night. Stephen Colbert hosted his final Colbert Report before heading over to CBS to eventually take over David Letterman‘s seat on The Late Show.

As is the norm these days when talk show hosts say good-bye, a slew of celebrities and notable faces made surprise appearances to participate in a huge singalong to wish the 50-year-old a grand farewell. It began simply enough with Colbert being joined by Randy Newman on piano and Jon Stewart. Pretty soon after, everyone started popping up. And I mean everyone.

From Cyndi Lauper to Big Bird and everyone imaginable in between, began appearing on stage. If they couldn’t make it to the soundstage, the likes of Bill Clinton, Abraham Lincoln, Santa Claus and Smaug the Dragon made cameos in clips. Colbert’s late-night replacement, Larry Wilmore, was also on hand. Check out the star-studded send-off below.

Well Merry Christmas to me!!! Miguel got into the holiday spirit by giving his fans what they wanted most- brand new music. Even better is the fact, they’re all free to download on Soundcloud.

NWA” featuring Kurupt, “Hollywood Dreams” and “Coffee” like his other offerings can be classified as baby-making music but feature a slight experimentation in electronica. If this is the direction he’s taking on his new album, I fully approve. “Coffee” is my favorite of the trio.

Since his fantastic Kaleidoscope Dreams two years ago, the 29-year-old R&B singer has satiated us with random soundtrack contributions for Girls, Mockingjay to name a few. Hopefully, this surprise EP is a sign that a new full length album is just on the horizon. Give all three a listen below.

With less than a month before the second season of Looking, the cast has boarded the promotional train. Expect to see them everywhere leading up to the premiere airing January 11, 2015.

Russell Tovey who’s been upgraded to a series regular recently chatted with Pride Source for an engaging interview. He reveals he originally auditioned to play Patrick which eventually went to Jonathan Groff. Producers were so enchanted by him, they wanted to write a part specifically for him. I’m glad the proverbial cards fell into their place.

Other highlights from his chat find the 33-year-old actor talking about filming sex scenes with another gay man, coming out and his scrumptious behind. Read all the juicy bits below.

“In the future, I imagine myself looking back and going, “God, I had a nice ass. Glad I got that out.” If it’s there now, I’m getting it out because it’s not always gonna look like that. I don’t want to hide it. And it’s nice that people like it. I’ve been very lucky. I’ve grown it myself, and I also have my parents to thank for it being well-received.”

When American Horror Story: Freak Show returns after the holidays, Neil Patrick Harris finally enters the AHS universe. The 41-year-old previously revealed he was asked to take part in Murder House along with his husband but declined. A decision both have regretted he claims.

In the episode titled “Magical Thinking” airing January 7, 2015, Harris makes his debut as a magician slash ventriloquist named Chester, the new owner of Elsa’s freak show. Reportedly, he has romantic feelings for Bette and Dot which infuriates Dandy (Finn Wittrock). NPH’s hubby David Burtka pops up on the season finale. Check out the promo below hyping up Neil Patrick’s guest spot.

Firstly, belated congratulations go out to the Ultraviolence singer for snagging a Golden Globe nomination for her Big Eyes soundtrack contribution. That’s gotta feel good after getting snubbed by the Grammys I’m sure.

Lana Del Rey caps off 2014 with another gorgeous editorial. The 29-year-old looks as stunning ever in a casual shoot snapped by Thomas Nutzi for Grazia Magazine’s December 2014 issue.

For the accompanying interview, Del Rey reveals some interesting tidbits about her next album. She says she’s already composed ten songs, working with Mark Ronson and wants to bring back her orchestra sound but mix it with some grunge. Sounds fantastic. Check out more photos from the shoot below.

When you put it out there and let it all hang out (literally), you open yourself up to plenty of criticism. Porn stars know this all too well, especially the gay ones. Bitchy queens love to read anyone. The library is open ;)

Since their previous clip proved quite popular, has convinced another group of their porn stars to participate in Models Read Mean Tweets – Christmas Edition. Nothing says the holidays more than reading people insult you ;)

Johnny Rapid, Colby Jansen, Mike De Marko, Connor Maguire, Jessy Ares, Jarec Wentworth, Damien Crosse, and Paul Walker subject themselves to some truly hilarious digs. The insults towards Rapid and Ares cracked me up the most. Check out the video below.
