Last week, rumors that another veteran from the original X-Men trilogy joining X-Men: Days of Future Past surfaced. They were started by none other than James McAvoy who plays the younger Charles Xavier in the reboot series. The 33-year-old Scottish actor slipped up by including Alan Cumming’s name with Halle Berry, Hugh Jackman and others as coming back to the franchise. Cumming appeared as Kurt Wagner aka Nightcrawler in 2003’s X2. Turns out those rumors were false… or were they.

Cumming revealed that he hadn’t “gotten the call” from Bryan Singer. Since the rumors surfaced, the director has neither confirmed nor denied Cumming’s addition. In a photo released via Twitter, however, Singer did reveal a few casting additions not previously released. One of which is Daniel Cudmore who played Colossus in X2 and X-Men: The Last Stand. Glad the Canadian star is back in the fold. He’s one tall drink of hotness. Find out the other newbies joining X-Men: Days of Future Past below.

The main picture at the beginning of the post is from X2 when Cudmore was only 22. A decade later, the 6’5″ actor is even sexier at 32-years-old. Don’t you think in the above left pic? Joining the X-Men franchise for the first time are BooBoo Stewart and Fan Bingbing. Twihards will recognize Stewart as Seth Clearwater. Congrats to the 19-year-old for landing another high-profile gig after Twilight.

Bingbing is a 31-year-old Chinese singer and actress. She is best known for her work in the psychological thriller Double Xposure. No confirmation about what roles either BooBoo or Fan will play, but many believe she will tackle Blink– a mutant with teleportation powers.

The following picture was tweeted by Bryan Singer with the following caption, “3 #Oscars, 6 #GoldenGlobes, 1 #BAFTA, 2 #Emmys, 2 #Tonys, 5 #Oliviers, 1 #Ceaser – Now let’s blow s**t up! #XMEN”

Based on the photo above, it looks like there is room for some more players in this game. At this point, the cast is already huge. I wonder how Singer envisions incorporating everyone. Should be very interesting.

The X-Men Days of Future Past will start its production this spring for a July 18, 2014 release in U.S. theaters. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Anna Paquin and Ellen Page are among those who return to the X-Men: First Class sequel, joined by new cast members Peter Dinklage and Omar Sy. Who else do you think should appear in the sequel? Sound off below.
