The 33-year-old actress revealed via Twitter that Wonder Woman 1984 will hit theaters June 2, 2020. That’s seven months later than the previous release date of November 1, 2019. Read her tweet below.
Super excited to announce that, thanks to the changing landscape, we are able to put Wonder Woman back to its rightful home. June 5, 2020. Be there or be square!!!

Warner Bros. also chimed in, echoing Gadot’s sentiment. No matter how hard they try to spin this thing, this sucks big time. I need my Wonder Woman fill now!!!
“We had tremendous success releasing the first Wonder Woman film during the summer so when we saw an opportunity to take advantage of the changing competitive landscape, we did,” Warner Bros. said in a a statement to Entertainment Weekly. “This move lands the film exactly where it belongs.”
The new release date now pits Gadot against herself. A week after Wonder Woman 1984 hits theaters, Red Notice which stars The Rock and Gadot is scheduled to arrive. I wonder if the latter film will stay put or move to another date to avoid competition.
“Fast forward to the 1980s as Wonder Woman’s (Gal Gadot) next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah (Kristen Wiig).” Chris Pine also returns as Steve Trevor and Pedro Pascal joins in an undisclosed role.” – Logline
