‘Wonder’ Starring Jacob Tremblay & Julia Roberts Will Bring Tears To Your Eyes

Well, that just happened. My eyes welled up with tears while watching this. What can I say? I’m a sucker for a schmaltzy feel-good tearjerker.

Based on the New York Times bestseller by RJ Palacio, Wonder tells the inspiring and heartwarming story of August Pullman played by an unrecognizable Jacob Tremblay. Born with facial differences that, up until now, have prevented him from going to a mainstream school, Auggie becomes the most unlikely of heroes when he enters the local fifth grade. As his family, his new classmates, and the larger community all struggle to find their compassion and acceptance, Auggie’s extraordinary journey will unite them all and prove you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Joining Tremblay in the film are Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, Mandy Patinkin and Daveed Diggs. If the 10-year-old actor doesn’t rack up some honors during awards season, I’ll be shocked. With this performance, he proves Room wasn’t just a fluke.

Wonder arrives in theaters November 17. Check out the touching trailer below.
