Even though it’s now spring, where I am it’s definitely not shorts weather, let alone pool party weather. Luckily, there’s an
app place for that. White Party 2012 in Palm Springs, California is just around the corner, taking place from April 6-9. Hot boys, hot weather, and some amazing performers = a great escape from work and cold weather.
There are some big names in the list of performers for this year’s festivities. The headline performer is none other than Mary J. Blige, and others include the winner of The X Factor 2011, a former Pussycat Doll, and so many others (which I’ve listed below). Yes, will of course be one of the Real Housewives on site as well. You’ll even see some live reenactments of Andrew Christian‘s Car Wash and Pink Pool Party… as you can expect, this can get really dirty at White Party.
Check out the list of performers and why you should attend this year’s White Party below.
White Party boasts being one of the largest gay dance music festivals in the world. I don’t know about you, but where I am (in Vancouver), even though it’s now spring we’ve been dealing with cold weather, random flurries, hail, crazy wind and rain. Occasional sun, but temperatures certainly don’t scream “pool party”. The other thing is, you’re only young once and White Party should be something you experience at least once in your life.
There is some great accommodation so you’d definitely be comfortable. Unfortunately, the host hotel (Renaissance) is sold out, but there is still space at The Hilton Palm Springs next door which is walking distance to the party.
Palm Springs is known as “Hollywood’s Playground,” and most people know that the gays (especially Jeffrey Sanker) know how to throw a party. Therefore, on top of all of the entertainers, you should expect to see tons of celebs there taking part in the festivities. A couple years ago, even Britney Spears went (photo above from Twitter).
There is an incredible lineup of artists and entertainers this year, some of which I have chosen to highlight separately below. Some of the names you can expect to see include (from left to right in the above photo): France Joli, Dave Aude, Lisa Vanderpump, Nire’ Alldai, Kwanza Jones, Kimberly Cole, Liz Primo, Hector Fonseca, Collette Carr, Nina Flowers, and many more. All in one place, all in one weekend!
On Saturday night, party goers will enjoy music by Nervo (“We’re All No One”, etc) among several other DJs in the all new 3D Dance Dome at “The White Party 3D”. This party goes on from 9pm – 5am at the Palm Springs Convention Center.
We love them! Jessie and the Toy Boys will be performing at the Closing Party on Sunday at the Renaissance Hotel. This party goes on from 10:00pm to 7:30am. If I’m not mistaken, this is also where you’ll see some of the Andrew Christian models doing their thang. YUM!
Who doesn’t want to see the talented winner of The X Factor, Melanie Amaro – amazing! Amaro will be performing at the “Under The Big Top” T-Dance which takes place at the White Party Park between 3pm and 10pm.
We literally just interviewed her a couple days ago and JoJo said she is super excited about performing at White Party! You can catch her performance on Friday night at the “Boxer or Briefs” party, which runs from 9pm until 4am at The Renaissance Hotel. There will also be a performance by Porcelain Black at this event.
We also recently interviewed her and she also mentioned how excited she was for White Party. This former Pussycat Doll will be performing at the closing party which runs from 10pm – 7:30am.
Wowza, who knew this party would be a “Family Affair”! This is definitely one of the bigger names (if not the biggest) for this year’s White Party. She will be performing at the “White Party” on Saturday in the main room. Lisa Vanderpump is covering the “White Carpet” arrivals. Amazing! I wonder what songs Mary J. Blige will perform!
The largest pool party in the desert takes place here and it looks like such a blast! There is a giant pool party every single day. Get some sun, meet some cute boys, and “play” in the water with your friends or that special someone.
