Weezer Covers Michael Jackson, TLC, Eurythmics & More For Ultimate Throwback Album

Remember Weezer? The LA rock band released a few hit songs during the 90’s, most notably the smash “Buddy Holly.” They returned to the charts last year with a sensational cover of Toto’s 1981 hit “Africa.” They’re staying with the whole nostalgia vibe for their surprise LP, Weezer (The Teal Album), which appropriately dropped on this #throwbackthursday.

The album is filled with covers spanning several decades. You have classic 80s tunes with Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” to the 90s jam “No Scrubs” by TLC. Toto travels even further back in the time machine with renditions of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” and The Beatles’ “Happy Together.” Check them out below, along with others.

PS. Loving the whole Miami Vice-inspired cover art above. Fingers crossed the band releases music videos for a couple of these tracks. If so, expect some hella vintage lewks!!!
