Well then. Water you waiting for? Better go get one! A new study has found that BPA (bisphenol A), a chemical found in pretty much every plastic container, is something that we ingest every time we take a swig from our water bottles, and high levels of BPA have been linked to erectile dysfunction! This study was funded by the US government, the first of its kind and the results were published today in the journal called Human Reproduction.

Do you know how common this chemical is? BPA has been detected in the urine of 93% of the US Population. Mother BEEP!!! The study that was just published focused on 634 male works in several factories in China that happened to be exposed to high levels of BPA, and they were found to be four times as likely to have difficulty getting a boner and SEVEN times more likely to have difficulty…ejaculating, according to De-Kun Li – one of the scientists at the Kaiser Research Institute. What would life be like without boners and blowing your – that is too hard difficult to imagine…I don’t even want to think about that!

So what the hell is this chemical? BPA came about in the 1930s as “a synthetic version of estrogen”, which according to Li, throws off the hormonal balance in the human body. That explains my roommate.

So as I mentioned, this chemical is in most plastic containers, but the focus is on bottles, etc. because the chemical is more easily absorbed in liquids. Manufacturers have said that to start they are going to take the chemical out of baby bottles and water bottles. Last year, The American Chemistry Council ignored over a hundred different studies showing the effects the chemical has on health, but now the Obama Administration has said they are going to take a fresh look at the issue and the FDA is supposed to have a complete review by the end of the month.
