Our latest Insta-Stud is a best-selling fitness author, co-founder of V Shred and pretty easy on the eyes. It’s no wonder Vince Sant also does some modeling on the side. The Los Angeles-based fitness expert is pretty photogenic. Check out a few pics from his Instagram feed below and you’ll agree.
Ya boy is growing?? – Been following a push, pull, legs routine as of lately.. going through that twice a week, with one rest day. The thing I like most about it is the frequency that I'm training each muscle. Since tissue synthesis, AKA muscle building, only lasts 48-72 hours post-exercise, this leaves my whole body in a state of muscle growth 7 days a week. – Although, I do feel I'm sacrificing optimal volume per targeted muscle seeing as how each muscle group is only getting 8-12 sets per workout, whereas, I would like to be giving each muscle group 12-16 sets per workout. But we'll see what happens. It is always good to change up your workout split to confuse your muscles and introduce more growth.
People nowadays getting too caught up in lifting as heavy as they can, with absolute shit form, that they forget about the benefits of actual muscular contractions and that’s why you see a bunch of unconditioned physiques. Well, that and their diet is garbage. – You want one tip to build lean, conditioned muscle faster? Drop the weight and slow your damn reps down. Focus on shortening the targeted muscle all the way to the peak contraction and then lengthening the muscle all the way until you feel a stretch. Then make sure you’re not creating momentum or losing tension at any point in between and I guarantee you get a better pump during that workout and more sore the following two days. Mark my words. – Tag someone below who needs to read this!???
Got my asshole bleached today… – Haha jk.. finally said fuck it and got some physical therapy done with @raykelly.co – For too long, I've been self diagnosing and self treating myself. Every once in awhile it's good to just step back and let someone else come and do their thing. – Found out today that the right side of my ribcage is significantly more compressed than my left and it has been causing an imbalance of stimulation and relaxation of my entire right side of my body's skeletal and nervous system. – We did some fascial release, did some exercises and made some significant progress.. Happy to say I am on my way to officially fixing this horrible lower back pain I've always suffered from.. that has become much more prominent since getting back into muy thai and heavy lifting. – Have taken a few days off of lifting and have to take a few more off but when I'm back, it's time to get them gainz. Best bilee dat??
Are you struggling to break a plateau? Read 1 quick fix below?? – During your next training session, on your last set for each exercise, I want you to do a "drop-set" (as shown in video above). You'll increase the weight to where you'll fail around 6-8 reps, then you will drop to 50-60% of the weight you're using, and rep out until failure again. Remember to focus 110% on your mind/muscle connection AKA time under tension. Especially on the lower weight to really burn out the muscle. – Tag someone who lifts!
There's something to say about individuals who simply do what they know they need to do, when they need to do it. And this can applied to relationships, work, fitness, school, anything. More often than not, what needs to be done is not the easier choice.. but it is the most rewarding; maybe not immediately, but indefinitely. Don't fall victim to avoiding temporary struggle. Embrace the struggle and find out what you're made of. Pain always subsides eventually. – Photographer: @samuellathrop
For those wondering, paddle boarding was not that difficult. There were 13mph winds blowing against me and I was still racing (and beating) any boat that dared trying to pass. Rumor even has it that people have started calling me the Michael Phelps of paddle boarding. I'm just like.. Whatever. All in a day's work.
You can say a successful person was lucky or they were a product of good circumstance.. But first off, that's a shit mindset.. You play the hand you were dealt, not bitch about wishing you had a better hand. You are your own driving engine and you are your own brake. Meaning you are the only one who can determine your own fate. If you want something, quit complaining about why you can't have it, figure out a plan and go get it. Period. #mondaymotivation
