I’m starting to write about these quite a bit – and that’s not a good thing!
There was an earthquake this morning in the South Pacific – a magnitude 7.4, resulting in a Tsunami warning for the surrounding area. The Tsunami centre has stated:
“An earthquake of this size has the potential to generate a destructive tsunami that can strike coastlines in the region near the epicenter within minutes to hours.”
The epicenter of the earthquake was 133 miles (244 km) NW of Santo on the island of Vanuatu. Sheesh, Survivor‘s been to all the Earthquake/Tsunami hot spots! Vanuatu is on the “Ring of Fire,” a part of an area that has tons of volcanoes and oceanic trenches surrounding the Pacific Ocean.
Yay for living in the Ring of Fire. I mean…boo 🙁
