Unknown made I Am Number Four say “I Am Number Two” at the box office this weekend. This was surprising to me, considering all of the promotion for I Am Number Four. Promoted as the followup to Taken, Unknown (starring Liam Neeson) brought in almost $22 million this weekend, well on it’s way for becoming profitable with a production budget of $30 million. I Am Number Four brought in $19.5 million, with a production budget that is double that of Unknown, at $60 million. This weekend it seems that most people were in the mood for a thriller!

Speaking of production budgets, did you know that Just Go With It cost $80 million? Yikes, it’s not even an action flick – Aniston and Sandler must have cost a pretty penny. The film was still pretty strong this week, taking the number four spot bringing in $18.2 million making their total earnings now $60.7 million.

One more new film opened this weekend…which would totally be a rental in my opinion. Find out which film this is and how the rest of the Top 10 list played out below.
