With Netflix canceling The Get Down and Sense8, I was beginning to think the streaming service had it out for me. Thankfully, another favorite will live to see another day. Unbreabkable Kimmy Schmidt just received a fourth season renewal.
The Tina Fey-produced comedy was originally developed for NBC, but the network passed, allowing Netflix to scoop it up. During its run, it’s racked up a total of 11 Emmy nominations, including back-to-back nods for Outstanding Comedy Series. With the 2017 Emmy noms just around the corner, expect its tally to go up.
Season 3 saw our beloved heroine Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) pursuing higher education, Titus (Tituss Burgess) paying homage to Beyonce’s Lemonade and Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) getting married and almost becoming part of the Real Housewives franchise. Can’t wait to see what Season 4 has in store for them and everyone’s favorite wacky landlady Lillian (Carol Kane).
Excited that Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt isn’t going anywhere? Sound off below.
