If you’ve read up on Patrick’s posts, you’ve noticed that Homorazzi had their hands full a week ago with the North American Outgames and of course Vancouver Pride. Aside from attending parties and events, I also played the role of support system to Patrick who played soccer in the games while trying to juggle the site and his store Masc. At the same time, I had my own tasks to juggle; writing for you guys and prepping my performances for both events.

As some of you may know, I have been work on music for a while now and have released two singles, Letting Go and In Love and am currently working on my finishing my EP titled Dance With Me which should be out early this fall. I was fortunate enough to be able to showcase these singles (and some of my new material) in front of audiences at a few different places during the week.

My first set of shows were for the Opening Ceremonies for the North American Outgames. I performed my single “In Love” and a cover of StoneBridge’s “What You Do To Me” at the Vancouver Art Gallery just before the flag runners arrived from SFU, UBC and Whistler. What a rush. I was lucky to share the stage with host David C. Jones, Sugarbeach and the amazing Destineak. You can check out my performance below:

OUTGAMES OPENING CEREMONIES PERFORMANCE

Straight from the Art Gallery, all of us headed to Five Sixty for the Outgames Opening Party where I once again shared the stage with Sugarbeach and Destineak. For my set here, I performed my two singles and the StoneBridge cover plus my track Sixteen. I was lucky to have four dancers, Sammie, Jory, Christina and Joey along with me for the ride. I have to say that that show was one of my favorite ones to date. Check out some of the photos from the show below:

After a week(ish) of rest, it was time for my next show. In conjunction with The Diversity Project and the Outgames Closing Ceremonies, I performed four songs again on the stage that would later in the evening host Dragonette and 90′s pop sensations Ace of Base. This show was a lot of fun and it was great to warm the stage for such elite performers. Don’t let my outfit fool you… it was SO hot outside. Dancing for me were my original two dancers who have been with me since the beginning, Joey and Christina. They are just the best. A big thank you to Clint at ShutterDreams for the photos above and below.

On Sunday, I had one busy day. It started off by prepping the OFK Soccer League for their pride parade entry which I choreographed. (That would be all the pictures that Patrick posted of himself in that bright yellow tank top. Didn’t he look so cute?) After making sure they were all set to go, I headed home to get ready for a two-show day. I headed to Sunset Beach for the big pride festival to perform on the TD stage. There were so many people and it was such a rush to perform for them. I performed my two singles and my track Sixteen. I had Joey and Sammie by my side and they helped make my show so great. I couldn’t have done it without them. Thank you to Brian Westbrook from the great photos.

To wrap up my weekend, I had the privilege of opening for dance floor diva, Wynter Gordon and Big Roger Event’s Anthem Party which featured DJ sets from Eddie Martinez and DJ Abel. This show was epic for me as I had not 4 dancers, but EIGHT! I have to say my dancers take my music to a whole new level. At this show, I performed Sixteen, my StoneBridge cover and debuted a new song that I co-wrote with Patrick titled Show & Tell. This is my next single so watch out for it coming real soon. It’s a hot little number. This show was a lot of fun and the best way to cap off a week of mayhem for sure.

After 5 shows in one week, I am so grateful to all my dancers, my boyfriend Patrick and my friends and family who supported me throughout the entire week. I couldn’t have done it without you. I am also so grateful for the opportunities from the Outgames, Vancouver Pride Society, The Diversity Project and Big Roger Events. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Now, I buckle down and get ready to finish my EP to get it out for you guys to hear. Thank you for your continued love and support. I really appreciate it so much.
