A while back, Tyrell released his first single, “Letting Go” on iTunes. Today, the music video for the song is finally here! If you’ve listened to the upbeat track, you’ll know that it has a bit of a 90s retro feel to it, with some nostalgic references to mixed tapes and the likes. Well, the same feel translates into the video.

A group of friends are hanging out at a party, or what could be a party. It’s really awkward and no one is really having any fun. Enter Tyrell and his posse who throw in the “Letting Go” tape into the cassette player, and the party and dancing begins. Intermixed with this party scene & fierce dance sequences, the video follows the story of two couples. The first are two boyfriends that seem to be in an argument over some texts on one of their phones. There’s obviously a bigger issue going on here for these two (Sidenote: The two guys are actually in a relationship in real life). In the second relationship, a woman is all dolled up for what looks like an anniversary dinner she’s prepared for her man. When he is beyond late, it’s the last straw for them. Or is it?

Check out the video below, featuring cameos by Vanity as well as myself, sporting my Homorazzi shirt! Enjoy!

The video was directed by Graeme Goodhall and choreographed by Joey Matt. Find the song on iTunes here!
