For her first talk show, The Tyra Banks Show, it ran for five seasons and won a couple of Daytime Emmys. Second time around hasn’t proved as successful.
Just two months on the air, Tyra Banks has decided to leave her new talk show FABLife. Can’t say that I’m all that surprised. Reviews for the show have been awful.
“This is a very difficult decision, but necessary,” Tyra said in a statement to THR. “I will be devoting more time to my new, growing cosmetics company, TYRA Beauty, which is expanding faster than anticipated, as well as overseeing my company’s other entertainment ventures. I will however continue to support the growth and success of FABLife and greatly admire my fellow co-hosts and the talented production team behind the show.”
Banks will remain on the show behind-the-scenes as an executive producer until the end of December. IMHO, Tyra stepping down is just a preemptive move before the show gets officially yanked. This reeks of saving face. What do you think? Weigh in below.
