Shadowhunters, Imposters & More Renewals This Week

The X-Files and Younger weren’t the only ones to receive season renewals from their respective networks, several other shows were greenlit for another season.

During its annual upfront presentation, Freeform announced Shadowhunters will return for a 20-episode third season. The news comes just before the second half of Season 2 premieres on Monday, June 5. The show is inspired by The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. It stars Dominic Sherwood, Katherine McNamara and Glee’s Harry Shum Jr.

In addition to Younger, TV Land gave Teachers a Season 3 20-episode order. The comedy is based on the web series of the same name by the improv group The Katydids. The latter half of season 2 will be back this fall.

Over on Bravo, the con will go on. The network renewed its dark comedy Imposters for a second season. Like the first, its sophomore run will consist of 10 episodes. The series averaged 1.4 million total viewers. Inbar Lavi stars as Maddie, a con artist who uses her beauty to get marks to fall in love with her and then takes advantage of them. Three of her former victims team up to track her down.

On the reality television front, E! gave the go-ahead for Khloe Kardashian to transform more lives. Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian will return for an eight-episode second season. “As the first season has shown, we were blown away by the evolution of the participants and Khloe’s unique ability to connect, inspire and encourage others,” Jeff Olde, EVP, Programming & Development, of E! said in a statement.
