Just a week after debuting his sexy bop “My My My,” Troye Sivan shares another new track off his forthcoming sophomore album. Unlike the lead cut which featured a pulsating beat, the 22-year-old African-born Australian singer slows things down with “The Good Side.”
“I got the good side of you / Sent it out into the blue / The people danced to the sound of your heart / The world sang along to the sound of it falling apart,” Troye sings on the dreamy electro acoustic ballad.
Sivan previously revealed the track was inspired by a tough breakup and an open letter to his ex “to express apologies and sympathy.” Sivan told Zane Lowe “that this song, now a couple of years down the line, is gonna serve as a sort of cathartic experience for the both of us.”
Give “The Good Side” a listen below. Personally, I like it better than “My My My.” Beautiful doesn’t even begin to describe it.
