Troye Sivan Delivers Gay Anthem ‘Bloom’ About Losing His Virginity

Troye Sivan told Coup de Main, “Bloom” is “one of the dirtiest songs on the album.” He also mentioned that it’s about the “receptive partner losing his virginity.” In other words, it’s a gay anthem about being a bottom. Yasss Kween!!! Get it Troye 🙂

“It’s true, babe… I’ve been saving this for you… Promise me you’ll hold my hand if I get scared now… Might tell you to take a second baby slow it down… You should know I bloom, I bloom just for you,” he sings on the synth number.

Bloom” which features a killer drum beat was co-written by LELAND and produced by Oscar Holter (Carly Rae Jepsen‘s “Run Away With Me”). It’s the latest taste, following “My My My,” off his forthcoming album due this summer. Inexplicably, “My My My” faltered in North America despite being a fantastic bop. Here’s hoping “Bloom” doesn’t follow suit.

An official music video hasn’t been released yet (can’t wait to see that), but a fun animated lyric clip has. Check out the Jason Ebeyer-directed visual below. Even though it features a garden blooming, we really know what the song is about 😉

This is a bop! My! My! My! Deserved so much better. Honestly he’s serving his best music ever this era, so even if he doesn’t get a huge hit it will be loved like Carly Rae Jepsen’s album tbh.
