Some of you might think I get paid to write about Tori Kelly given the amount of posts about the rising talent. Truthfully, I just adore the 22-year-old singer-songwriter that much. She’s got a great voice and her songs are extremely infectious.
Her debut album, Unbreakable Smile, is out now and I suggest you check it out. “I Was Made for Loving You” and “California Lovers” featuring Ed Sheeran and LL Cool J are solid, along with the gorgeous ballads “Beautiful Things” and “Falling Things.”
One of the biggest standouts on the LP is “Should’ve Been Us.” It immediately became a favorite the second I heard it. Kelly keeps it simple for the recently-released music video. Concert footage is mixed with scenes of Tori walking and singing to the camera. The Rory Kramer-directed visual is a little too casual and I would’ve preferred a bigger budget clip, but I’m still a fan. Check it out below, along with an acoustic rendition for Target.
