It will use your GPS to determine what city you're in and you can search for restaurants in the area by type, price, etc...- or you can just shake your phone and it chooses a random one for you. I use it all the time. In the car, in the club, in a restaurant. It's purely brilliant. The best part of it is, you can even tag a song even without internet connection and check for the song later. I couldn't understand how if they knew the people already, why they were asking me about them. Turns out there's an application called 'Shazaam!' that lets you hold your phone up to the speaker, and you let it listen to the music....then it hunts it down and pinpoints the song, artist and album! I was floored! Long story short. I want one now! I can't count how many times I've been out and my ear picks up something I want and need to have.
