‘Timeless’ Canceled After Two Seasons

Sorry Clockblockers, the end is here. NBC has finally revealed the fate for Timeless and it’s not good. The cult-favorite time-traveling series has been canceled after two seasons. For its sophomore run, the drama only averaged 4.2 million viewers and a 1.0 in the demo.

If this cancellation sounds familiar, it’s because it’s actually the second time NBC has axed the show. Last year, the peacock network pulled the plug but due to fan outcry, it resurrected Timeless for a second season. Don’t expect the same thing to happen this time around. Fans hoping for some closure though, could get it via a Sense8-like wrap-up movie.

“Gutted by this, guys, I know you are too,” co-creator Eric Kripke wrote in response. “Behind the scenes, Sony has been trying hard to set it up elsewhere, but no luck so far. I think this 2 hour movie is our best shot. We’re ready to make it if @nbc really wants it. Let ’em know how you feel.”

The cast also chimed in about the cancellation via social media.

This show went from ABC to NBC to cancelled. Please shop it on HULU or Netflix. I can’t believe this was cancelled and other stupid, low IQ themed shows were renewed. I’m giving up TV forever….Except RuPaul’s Drag Race…
