Looks like Tiger Woods is better at driving on the golf course than on the roads. The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the popular golfer sustained serious injuries while involved in a car accident early this morning. Maybe hoping to get a jump on a “Black Friday” sales, Woods pulled out of his driveway around 2:25am. As he was leaving, he hit a fire hydrant and then drove onto his neighbor’s property where he hit a tree.

Since he was traveling under 33mph, his 2009 Cadillac Escalade didn’t deploy. The Orange County sheriff’s office received a call at 2:27am and was told the driver was injured and still inside the car. Woods was rushed to Health Central and treated for facial lacerations and was released later that afternoon. Luckily, alcohol isn’t considered a factor but investigations are still underway to determine what caused Woods to drive into the hydrant. I only thought dogs were attracted to them and not “tigers”.

Currently, Woods is on a two-week hiatus from the tour but is scheduled to return for the Chevron World Challenge from Dec 3-6 in Thousand Oaks, California. He lives in Florida with his wife, former Swedish model Elin Nordegren, and their daughter, Sam Alexis, and son Charlie Axel.
