This article is totally random, let me just start with that.
The magic of this article starts months ago when I went to visit our Islander friend Kyle, over in Victoria. We spent one of the days wandering through the city popping into the little shops all throughout downtown. In one of the standard tourist stores I came across a brilliant wall filled with the most amazing t-shirt prints I’ve ever seen. I wanted to get one, but for some reason I decided not too (largely because I was told I would lose all my friends if I purchased one).
Every day since I left the island I have thought about those shirts and how I desperately want one. Kyle has refused to buy me one and bring it over for me, and instead is using it as leverage for me to come over for another visit.
Flash forward to last week, when one of my colleagues at work sent me the following link on Amazon.com:
http://www.amazon.com/Three-T-Shirt-Available-Various-Sizes/dp/B000NZW3IY/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
My head nearly blew off my body, as I didn’t even think to ORDER one online!
Why did my colleague send this to me you ask? NOT because she knew I wanted one, which would be the logical answer to this question.
Her simple one-line instructions said through email were, “read the customer comments”.
I scrolled down, which I’m asking you to do so (re-click the link above), and enjoy the amazing stories of joy that the three-wolf shirt has brought to so many other people. I was literally snorting at my desk out of laughter.
What’s the relevance of this story? That same night I was over at Kevin and Stephen’s house, joined by one of Stephen’s closest friends from high school (I’m not sure if I’m allowed to use her name but I’m going to anyways – Cyd!)
She had seen the EXACT link and was laughing at the EXACT same comments at the EXACT same time (approximately) that I was that day! Unbelievable? Perhaps…but not so unbelievable when in conjunction with the three-wolf shirt!

That shirt is hideous. It looks like a shirt I had from Northern Getaway in grade 4.
Also, wolves freak me out.

Bret from Flight of the Conchords wears a sweater like that and it’s AMAZEBALLS… i think it’s a big part of the reason i’m in love with him!

the three wolf tee is kind of over – i haven’t worn mine in months.
here’s a good rule of thumb:
if it’s popular on the island, be skeptical.

it’s funny though, amazon gets some pretty hilar dialogues on products for sale – there was this HUGE back and forth about a $300,000 diamond ring last year.

Oh I completely expect this fad to never have truly existed, but you’re absolutely right Kyle – one should never trust the islanders to get things right!
