After a 14-year hiatus on the small screen, The X-Files returned to fantastic ratings. The sci-fi series drew an average multi-platform audience of nearly 16 million viewers during the 2016-2017 television season and was the No. 2 broadcast drama. Naturally, FOX did everything in their power to gather up the team for another go-round.
Creator Chris Carter returns to executive produce the 10 new episodes which finds David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their iconic roles of FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully respectively. Lauren Ambrose and Robbie Amell, who joined the franchise during Season 10, also book return tickets.
During New York Comic-Con the trailer for Season 11 dropped. And it looks like it’s going to be a tense ride. Check out the trailer below. The X-Files returns to FOX in 2018.
