I have to admit, I have an unhealthy obsession with “Glad You Came“. Trust me, I think I’m starting to drive Brian and my friends crazy with the amount of times I play the song. I just can’t get enough. So you know the second I saw them perform an acoustic version of their Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 hit, I had to share it.
Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes dropped by San Diego’s Slacker Radio and sang their little UK hearts out. If the first time you heard these guys sing live was on “American Idol” last week, you probably weren’t impressed. To be perfectly honest, they weren’t that great. But now that they don’t have to worry about jumping up and down on stage and trying to woo Jennifer Lopez, the boys can focus on delivering a solid acoustic version of “Glad You Came”. And deliver they did. It’s fantastic.
In addition to belting out their crossover hit, the boys covered a class 90s track. They chose the Goo Goo Doll’s hit song “Iris“. Remember that gooey love song from “The City of Angels” soundtrack starring Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage? Hated the movie, but loved the song. They definitely did it justice. Check out both performances below.
Not bad, right? I admit, my partial obsession for “Glad You Came” has to do with that sexy Max George aka the shaved head one. YUM. That said, I’m starting to develop a little crush on that Jay Guiness as well. He’s the one with the curly longish hair which I’m a sucker for. Which of the five Brits do you like? Sound off below.
