The Voice has found the final piece of the puzzle for Season 14. Kelly Clarkson revealed in a video which singer is sitting alongside Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and herself for the spring 2018 edition of the singing competition. It’s none other than the “Girl On Fire,” Miss Alicia Keys.
“We are thrilled to welcome back Alicia’s positive energy, competitive spirit, and sheer talent. She brings unparalleled expertise and has proven she knows how to help artists win,” Paul Telegdy, president of NBC Entertainment’s alternative and reality group, said in a statement. “The chemistry between Alicia, Kelly, Adam, and Blake will make for a wildly unpredictable and compelling season 14!”
The 36-year-old Grammy winner appeared on the show for Seasons 11 & 12, winning the latter with team member Chris Blue. Keys became only the second female judge to coach a winner. “Defending my crown!,” Keys shouts in the video as Clarkson announces her addition.
Excited to have Alicia back? While I love Keys, I was hoping Hudson would do back-to-back seasons and join Kelly. It’s the American Idol lineup plenty of fans wanted. Check out the promo video below and weigh in afterward.
