Always the bridesmaids, never the brides… until now. The Saturdays finally notched their first UK chart-topper after countless Top 10 hits. Una Healy, Rochelle Humes, Mollie King, Frankie Sandford and Vanessa White achieved this career milestone with “What About Us” after thirteen previous tries. The girls first landed on the UK charts over five years. Congratulations on a job well done.
Ask any one of my friends, and they’ll tell you that I’m obsessed with these girls. Their No. 1 hit “What About Us” and other favorites from the girl group play like clockwork when we have people over. Proudly, I’ve introduced these five ladies to numerous friends who are now as diehard about them as I am. They’re so damn pretty.
Hopefully, one of these days they’ll infiltrate the US Billboard charts. Sadly, their E! reality show hasn’t exposed them to the US market as hoped. Their docu-series is pulling in very disappointing ratings and rumored to be on the chopping block. As much as I love The Saturdays, I tuned out after three episodes. Sorry ladies. Forget about becoming reality stars and just focus on releasing hot tracks and even hotter music videos. If you haven’t watched the clip for “What About Us,” check it out below.
Are you a fan of The Saturdays? If so, what’s your favorite track? Who’s your favorite member? For me, I love Una, Mollie and Vanessa. With regards to their discography, “Higher,” “All Fired Up,” “Work” and “What About Us” are among the most played on my iTunes. Sound off below.
