The CW is entering the singing music competition ring with a brand new show that will hit our TV screens this August. Produced by Dave Broome and Queen Latifah, the teen/young adult network is gearing up to introduce their new show “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep.” If you think the title is a little confusing, you’re not on your own. So what’s the concept for this new show? One of the show’s judges/mentor’s opened up to Ryan Seacrest about the premise on his morning radio show.
The series is a music talent show, I’m really excited about it…I’m going to be moving in with someone. The judges will be going to different cities in the states. There will be four people auditioning in each city and these artists are going to be either people that had a chance in the past, maybe they possibly got dropped from a record label. Also there will be people that are local stars or local celebrities.
The judge/mentor went on to explain that they will spend 72 hours with their artist during their everyday lives. If they flip burgers, so will the judge/mentor. They will continue to work together musically as well to perfect the audition. So, who are the four professionals jumping onboard for this new competition? Find out below.

Leading the judges panel is none other then the Latin-queen herself, Gloria Estefan. Joining her will be rapper Nelly and country star and Celebrity Apprentice winner, John Rich. That leaves Joe Jonas who spoke with Ryan Seacrest about the show. I don’t really watch any of the singing competition shows so I can’t say I will be adding this to my PVR. What do you think about the panel for “The Next: Fame Is At Your Doorstep?” Sound off with your thoughts and comments below.

John Rich has said some pretty homophobic stuff in the past so no thanks.
Gloria is always great to see but the other three judges don’t impress me at all.
