‘The Most Popular Girls In School’: Barbie Stop Motion Animation Series

If you’re a fan of Mean Girls, Suburgatory, Gossip Girl, or even the hilarious Teen Girl Squad web series from long ago, then you’ll love this crude comedy stop motion “Barbie” web series called The Most Popular Girls In School. It’s been around since 2011, but I only came across it when a friend showed it to me today and it’s effing hilarious. There are thirteen short episodes in the first season, and there’s a season 2 in the works right now!

The series uses Barbies and stop motion animation to tell the story of the girls that attend Overland Park High School. A new girl named Deandra joins the school and finds herself caught in the middle of a feud between the Van Buren sisters and the head cheerleader, Mackenzie Zales (who is my favorite character). It’s seriously hilarious.

I’ve included the series playlist below. At the very least, watch Episode 2 – that one had me laughing so hard. Brittnay Matthews gets so worked up about this French girl named Saison who says “How You Say” before words she clearly knows how to say and it drives her crazy. You should know that Mackenzie also has one hell of a potty mouth. Enjoy the The Most Popular Girls In School series below!
