Who releases sequels to songs??? Given that “Mr. Brightside” is their biggest hit to date, it only makes sense that The Killers try to milk it even further. The Brandon Flowers-led American rock band just debuted their new music video for “Miss Atomic Bomb” and apparently it’s a sequel to the clip for “Mr. Brightside”. At first glance, it’s hard to recognize the connection since most of it’s animated. It’s not til later when the characters transform to real people that this becomes apparent. Actress Izabella Miko and Eric Roberts, along with Flowers, reprise their roles from the “Mr. Brightside” clip.
Using a combination of live action and animation, “Miss Atomic Bomb” tells a love story between a young dancer and rocker singer. Their epic love goes wonky when another man enters the picture. Isn’t that always the case ;) Just like “Mr. Brightside,” the clip is full of over-the-top drama and theatrical glamor. That’s certainly The Killers’ calling card.
This isn’t the first music video for “Miss Atomic Bomb.” The group released one featuring concert footage earlier in the year. The single is the second official single from the band’s fourth studio album, Battle Born. Check out the clip below.
