The Weinstein Co. certainly knows how to market a film. The film distributor for “The Iron Lady” released five brand new posters promoting the film’s wide release this weekend. The Margaret Thatcher biopic is already in theatres in the UK, Australia and limited release in North America. These five new brilliant visuals are a great way celebrate the film’s wide release.
Meryl Streep who plays the titular character graces all five campaign-style posters. They were designed to look like campaign propaganda you would see littering city streets and bus stop shelters during a heated election. I love the way the visuals are made to look like Thatcher was running in modern times. There is even a reference to the Occupy Movement in one of them. As you would expect with campaign posters, graffiti scribbled by opponents are reflected in the ads. From devil horns to proclamations of hate, all can be seen in the new promotional ads. Check them all out below.

What did you think? Which one(s) is your favorite? Personally, the TEA poster and the Occupy Trafalgar Square Now one are my favorites. Have you seen the film? Are you planning on catching it this weekend? Share your thoughts below.
