NBC Gives ‘The Good Place’ Early Season 3 Renewal

Great forking news for fans of The Good Place. NBC just renewed the afterlife comedy for a third season. Like the first two seasons, the third one will consist of 13 episodes.

For Season 2, the Kristen Bell and Ted Danson series is averaging a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers for its initial airings. With delayed viewing, those numbers bump up to a 2.0 rating and 6.2 million viewers. The peacock network says the comedy’s multiplatform rating of 2.6 among adults 18-49 is on par with last season.

The Good Place is currently on its winter hiatus and will return to air its final five episodes of Season 2 starting January 4, 2018. It joins This Is Us and Will & Grace on the list of shows which have already been renewed for the 2018-19 television season.
