The Golden Girls Action Figures Head To Target After New York Comic Con Debut

golden-girls-castDecades after charming television viewers, the fab foursome that are The Golden Girls have been immortalized as action figures. Funko unveiled the adorable set at New York Comic Con. Not surprisingly, they were the belles of the ball.

“The response to our Golden Girls products has been wild,” Funko’s director of marketing Mark Robben told ABC News. “We almost weren’t prepared for the excitement. We created these as a passion project initially, and were blown away when it started trending on social media.”

Initially, the limited edition sets were only available at Funko’s Comic Con booth. Only fans lucky enough to win a lottery ticket were given an opportunity to purchase them. And that only allowed them a one-item-per-ticket limit.

For those not fortunate enough to win a ticket or attend New York Comic Con, there’s some good news. It appears, they’ll be sold online at Target for only $24.99.

If you have anyone on your Christmas list that’s a fan, this would make an excellent stocking stuffer. The set would add a little sass to anyone’s action figure collection. They’ll thank you for being a friend 😉
