The Brady Bunch Sisters’ Feud Derailed Reunion

During Patrick and my visit to the Today Show set last week, Meredith and Matt announced a new segment where they will be reuniting some of TV’s most beloved families of yesteryear. Among a few of the TV shows they were promoting were “Eight is Enough”, “The Partridge Family” and “The Brady Bunch”. Unfortunately due to a longstanding feud, one of those reunions isn’t going to be happening anytime soon. Who’s to blame? Here’s a hint: Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!

Allegedly a feud between Maureen McCormick (Marcia) and Eve Plumb (Jan) is preventing the reunion from occurring, causing The Today Show to cancel the planned Wednesday event. According to reports, all the Brady kids were scheduled to appear but when Maureen and Eve found out about the other’s appearance, they said “Hell, to the NO”.

Though the two TV siblings have never truly gotten along, their relationship strained even further when Eve read Maureen’s tell-all book. She became furious at implications Maureen made about a lesbian relationship. Eve felt she was being exploited and the subject of false accusations so that Maureen could sell more copies.

In the words of one of the songs sung by the Brady kids, maybe its “Time To Change”. While some people blame Maureen and some people blame Eve, what we need is Carol and Mike Brady to save the day and play peacemaker. With Mike passing away a few years ago, maybe it’s time for Alice to step in and parent the kids once again. Seriously, what did Carol Brady ever do? Alice cooked, cleaned and often parented.
