Today is the day! This is a movie that pretty much every comic book or superhero nerd has been waiting for. After a while bunch of movies of the individual characters and so many years of planning, the mega motion picture THE AVENGERS hits theatres…and I got to see a special advance screening of it.
Going into the Avengers I had to leave a few things at the door.
I left those three major points at the door and went into The Avengers with my nerd family, if there were any three people that deserved to see this movie it was them. Let me tell you we were not disappointed.
Right off the bat, Black Widow spoke Russian.
Captain America’s outfit and whole being was way better in the movie.
Mark Ruffalo and The Hulk were one of the STAND OUTS of this movie.
All of my three biggest concerns were taken care of right away, I guess they got my memo! The Avengers is a movie that could’ve really bombed because of all the characters in the movie, but you will be delighted to know that everyone has pretty much equal screen time, they all play an important role in the story and everyone of them has really incredible moments. The main story is that Loki (Thor’s brother played perfectly by Tom Hiddleston who I have a MAJOR crush on) travels to Earth to get the Tesseract to create some serious problems. Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) calls together super people to prevent an alien invasion from attacking including Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America and The Hulk. Thor comes in on his own because he sense Loki and wants to take him home to face Asgardian punishment.
This movie is incredible. I felt like I was seeing comic book panels come to life on screen. It was 2.5 hours of non stop action, comedy, INCREDIBLE characters and flawless battle scenes. Joss Whedon did a phenomenal job with the writing and directing, this is guaranteed to be one of the best superhero movies of all time.
I had a few issues obviously. Hawkeye’s outfit was a bit boring… that’s pretty much it. There’s also a really great little scene at the very end so make sure you stay in your seat.
There is clearly going to be a second Avengers, but they have to be VERY careful not to just make it the same kind of wham bam movie but really with Whedon at the helm who cares. This movie is great and I can’t wait to see it again.
Movie Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Stars

It was awesome
but I agree on you with hawkeye
not only his costume, sorry for his fans but he was too old or better, he looked too tired for his role
cause I don’t have any problem with daddies ;)
but hawkeye is one sexy character in the comics, and here he didn’t have the charisma nor the stamina nor the cute ass haha
for me, hawkeye has always been the gay candy in avengers
Other than that, loved it. Scarlett impressed me with the action scenes. Robert Downey Jr as always, he rocked it
Thor & Captain America on the other hand were kinda boring. Captain America with his good-boy morale and Thor with some kind of solemnity he doesn’t always have on the comic. No matter what my fantasy is, the whole time he was stiff like if he has … on her ass or something
But I’m definitely ready for more! hope they don’t take too long
