The Americans & House Of Lies Renewed

Good news for all fans of The Americans. FX just renewed the drama co-starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys for a fourth season. Expect another sensational 13 episodes of spy intrigue in 2016. The show still has four episodes to air this season with the finale airing on April 22.

“Remarkably, this season of The Americans has achieved even greater acclaim than that of its first two seasons,” FX original programming president Nick Grad told The Hollywood Reporter. “The series has cemented it status with critics as television’s best current drama and arguably the best show on TV, and we couldn’t agree more.”

Maybe this year, the critically-acclaimed show can finally get some Emmy love. With exception for a couple of nominations for guest stars, it’s been virtually shut out. No bueno.

Also receiving another season order was Showtime’s House of Lies. The Don Cheadle and Kristen Bell series will head into their fifth season. The premium cabler ordered 10 more episodes.

“When you have a gifted acting ensemble led by Don Cheadle and smart, acerbic writing led by showrunner Matthew Carnahan you expect something special, and House of Lies delivers for us each season,” Gary Levine, exec vice president of original programming for Showtime

House of lies is the BOOM! so wasn’t even a question of whether it would be cancelled or renewed. It’s one of showtimes best shows.
