Years ago, it was all about “smoking etiquette“. Most people are pretty good about that these days, especially with many laws that back it up. Now, the new things is cell phone etiquette… and safety.
Let’s start with etiquette. It’s rude to be on your phone at the dinner table or constantly texting while at a party (put your Grindr AWAY!). Recently, I read a post where someone created a new rule that while out for dinner or drinks, everyone should have to put their cell phones in the middle of the table. First one to pick up their phone during dinner, picks up the bill. What a great idea! Smart phones can be an addiction, so the first step is recognizing you have a problem (I for one am not immune).
