There was never a doubt Reputation would debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200. Just exactly how many copies she would sell was the only question out there. The official numbers are in and as expected, they’re huge.
Taylor Swift sold 1.28 million copies of her sixth studio album in pure sales. The 27-year-old singer didn’t make Reputation available on streaming services, but the LP did rack up a few streaming points due to radio and a promotion with iHeartRadio. When those numbers were factored in, her first week sales bump up to 1.29 million. Imagine how massive the number would’ve been had it been on Spotify, Apple Music and other services.
Reputation is her fourth album in a row to sell more than one million during its first week, extending her lead for having the most million-plus weeks in sales.
