Taylor Swift is back with another catchy breakup song called “I Knew You Were Trouble” and we’ve got your first listen below. Her sound is definitely evolving and I like the direction. I didn’t really listen to her all that much before, but I’m liking the more grown up version of her. “Never Getting Back Together” was a great track, and I love this one too! Looks like her upcoming Red album is going to be a goodie!
In the chorus, Swift sings, “Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in / So shame on me now / Flew me to places I’ve never been / Till you put me down oh.” It’s country mixed with pop along with a dash of some dub step and I for one am digging it.
“It’s about, kind of, being frustrated with yourself because here you are heartbroken and you knew when you first saw that person, you saw all these red flags and you just went for it, anyway,” says Swift. “[The] sounds just as chaotic as the feeling was when I wrote it.” Give the song a listen below and share your thoughts in the comments!

Hmm. I think it’s medium. If the whole album is going in the Pop direction, I’m gonna have some serious “old” Taylor withdrawals.
