Have you seen ABC’s promos for its upcoming new drama, Nashville? Doesn’t Hayden Panettiere’s character remind you of a tarted up Taylor Swift? I’m sure that’s what the producers had in mind. It’s definitely smart of them to continue to carve out the character in Taylor’s mold. For inspiration, they might look to Glamour’s November 2012 issue where the country superstar graces the cover.

The 22-year-old singer looks, appropriately enough, glamorous in the issue. Donning sequined and flower outfits, Swift sparkles in every shot. As always, the photos are accompanied with an interview where Taylor tells the publication the “stuff she usually only tells her girlfriends.” From her celebrity BFFs like Selena Gomez and Emma Stone to ex-loves like John Mayer, nothing is off grounds. Check out the images and quotes from the issue which hits newsstands on October 9.

On Friendship Eith Emma Stone and Selena Gomez

“I met Emma when I was 17, and I met Selena when I was 18. So they’ve experienced all of this with me, and they’ve also experienced their own amazing success, and somehow through all of it, we’ve stayed close.”

On Being Understood

“I think some people think it’s just apple pie and sunshine and sprinkles and ponies. Which is just funny. But I never feel the need to go out and make some grand statement that I’m dark and twisty and complicated, because I’m not that either. It’s just not as simple as ponies and rainbows, though I do love ponies and rainbows.”

On Importance of Having Girlfriends

“They are so important in my life right now. I’m the kind of girl who needs to tell her friends everything. I’ve developed this really close-knit group of girls. Two of my close friends are bandmates.”

Glamour: You never identified who it was about, but John Mayer recently told Rolling Stone that it was him.

Taylor Swift: How presumptuous! I never disclose who my songs are about.

Glamour: He said he felt…

Taylor Swift: No! I don’t want to know, I don’t want to know.
