From hawking bread crumb-style coating as a child to being the face of Madonna’s Material Girl Collection, Taylor Momsen is no stranger to being a product pitchwoman. Her latest ad campaign is for John Galliano’s new fragrance, Parlez-moi D’amour. That’s some serious couture elegant-ay. Not bad for the former Jenny Humphrey. Considering recent news that she was dropped by IMG Models, the Pretty Reckless singer looks like she’ll be just fine.
With her outrageous age-inappropriate conduct as of late, it’s nice to see Taylor all prettied up for the new campaign. Sure, she’s still sporting heavy panda-like eye makeup, and wearing fishnets and lingerie as outerwear, but for some reason it almost looks classy. She even classed up her vocal stylings and wrote a song for the promotional video. Could Taylor finally be cleaning up her act for 2011? Is she starting her New Year’s resolutions early? Check out the video below and see for yourself.
TAYLOR MOMSEN FOR JOHN GALLIANO’S PARLEZ-MOI D’AMOUR
One of my favorite photographers Ellen Von Unwerth, directed the commercial for Galliano’s new scent. Besides being responsible for promotional photography for Duran Duran, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Rihanna’s Rated R, Von Unwerth was responsible for those iconic Claudia Schiffer Guess? ads back in the 90s. She did a great job of capturing Momsen’s rocker essence but refined it for high fashion. Given Taylor has a penchant for stripper acrylic heels, this makeover was no easy feat.
Here’s another print ad for Galliano’s Parlez-moi d’Amour.
