Man Crush: Taylor Kitsch

Up until yesterday, I hadn’t picked the lucky stud who I would bequeath my weekly crush crown to. Then along came a list by The Hollywood Reporter anointing a new “A-List” in Hollywood which I posted yesterday. On that list was a sexy 29-year-old from Kelowna, British Columbia. I had forgotten how much I crushed on this dude the first time I saw him in the cheesy supernatural teen thriller, “The Covenant“. Ladies and homos, I present Taylor Kitsch.

The actor/model originally wanted to become a professional hockey player, but a knee injury thwarted those plans. While some would let this bad luck sideline them into a depressive state, Taylor didn’t. In 2002 he received an opportunity to model for IMG in New York which Kitsch took. A new dream was born. During his time in the “Big Apple“, he modeled for Diesel and Abercrombie & Fitch, studied acting, became a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. Busy, busy boy.

Though my first exposure to Kitsch was in “The Covenant“, most people know him from his role as Tim Riggins on the NBC cult hit, “Friday Night Lights“. In addition to roles on the small screen in “Kyle XY”, Taylor has also worked steadily on the silver screen. Film credits include, “John Tucker Must Die“, “Snakes on a Plane” and “X-Men Origins: Wolverine“.

On the horizon, he has a slew of high-profile gigs underneath his belt which landed him on “Hollywood’s New A-List“. He’ll appear with Ryan Philippe in the apartheid-themed “The Bang Bang Club“, co-star with Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna in “Battleship” which is based on the popular Hasbro game.

He hasn’t completely forgotten his modeling roots. Recently, he appeared alongside Chace Crawford, Ian Somerhalder and many others in a limited edition coffee table book, “About Face” by celebrity photographer John Russo.

I’m a sucker for a guy shirtless with long hair and wearing a straw hat. Maybe I should think about moving to the country where hot farm guys are aplenty

Obviously photoshopped, he could easily fit into a “Twilight” movie.

On “Friday Night Lights” he played a running back/full back. He can “score” on me anytime.

If you haven’t watched “The Covenant”, rent it today. It’s eye-pleasing PG porn set in a high school setting where superpowers exist. Sounds like Oscar material, right? LOL

Did someone say skinny did? If not, why didn’t someone?

Does Taylor look hotter in black as a bad boy or angelic in white? I love me a golden-tanned long-haired man any day of the week.

I’m not sure if I like him with short hair. Apparently he chopped it all off for his role in “Battleship”. With his new haircut, Taylor just sank my “battleship”.

Doesn’t he look like Kellan Lutz here? Creepy. Actually on second thought, yummy. Did someone say twin fantasy?

He can be my Daryl Hannah in my “Splash” movie anytime he wants. Too bad the sea, didn’t actually wash up hotties like this on shore all the time.

His chest looks so tasty.

A couple of shots from his modeling days. He definitely looks better now.

Oooh, I take that back. He looked pretty juicy back then as well. If he showed up on a go-see with this comp card, I’d hire him.

I wonder if Wolverine has any deleted behind the scenes footage of Taylor and Hugh Jackman shirtless and play fighting with each other. A boy can dream, can’t he?

As always, I like to end my man crush posts with a gratuitous shirtless picture. Enjoy boys.

I know Hollywood has no shortage on beautiful men, but he makes me really want to do some awfully dirty things. Perfection in my book. Physically anyway.
