SZA is really killing it as of late. The 27-year-old rising star is up for five Grammy Awards including Best New Artist. She also recently snagged her first Top 10 hit thanks to her Maroon 5 collabo “What Lovers Do.” This is just the tip of the iceberg for this uber-talented chanteuse. Expect big things from her.
SZA enlisted Calvin Harris for a remix of “The Weekend” off her debut studio album CTRL released in June. The album standout was actually never officially released as a single, but it managed to achieve a platinum certification. It’s also Grammy nominated for Best R&B Performance.
Given all the success, it only makes sense SZA begins promoting it. Hopefully an accompanying visual is on the way. Until that arrives, check out Harris’ Funky Wav remix below. He transforms it from a slinky slow jam into a slinkier house bop.
