Drew Barrymore Makes A Cameo In SZA’s ‘Drew Barrymore’ Music Video

If there’s a song out there with your name as the title, the only polite thing to do is appear in the accompanying video, right? Well, that’s what my girl Drew Barrymore did. All class that one is 🙂

American singer-songwriter Solána Rowe, better known as SZA, recently released her major debut album, Ctrl. There are many standouts on the LP, but a highlight for me is the one named after the Santa Clarita Diet actress. The 26-year-old Missouri-native previously revealed she was inspired by Drew’s movies including Never Been Kissed and Poison Ivy. “I just imagine this being the soundtrack to one of those movies,” SZA revealed.

Reportedly, the music video for “Drew Barrymore” was filmed months ago. Not sure why it took so long to arrive, but it’s here and with the real Barrymore making a brief but memorable cameo. Around the 2:18 mark, she walks by SZA and gives her a knowing smirk. Check out the Dave Meyers-directed video below.
