The night opened with a group routine choreographed by Blake McGrath and danced to LoveGame by Lady Gaga. Throughout last night’s performance show Leah spouted more nonsense about this routine being ‘too hot for TV’! Some of the outfits were pretty amazing (mainly the girls), but I definitely did NOT find the routine as hot as it was ‘hyped’ up to be. That’s all.

Random Insert: I watched this dance a second time around and there MAY have been some guy-on-guy action in the first 20 seconds. WHAT?! Only on SYTYCD Canada!

Leah the jumped into bringing the first four couples to the stage; Melanie Mah and Cody, Corynne and Austin, Amy and Vincent, and Jamie Rae and Daniel. First up to learn their fate was Melanie Mah and Cody, and they were sent straight through to safety. Corynne and Austin were next on the chopping block, and once again were safe. Looks like the new pairing works! Amy and Vincent and Jamie Rae and Daniel were pitted against each other, and shockingly BOTH couples were sent backstage to prepare to dance for their lives. DANG!

Random Insert #2: My old roommate Katie and I watched the show together and she informed me that guest judge Karen Kain is apparently one of the most elite Prima Ballerinas from her time. I had no idea, I thought she was simply a choreographer!

The final three couples took to the stage; Kim and Emanuel, Tara Jean and Everett, and Natalie and Danny. Kim and Emanuel were first to learn their fate and to no surprise they were sent through to safety. That left either Tara Jean and Everett or Natalie and Danny to round out the bottom three couples. UNBELIEVABLY Tara Jean and Everett were sent to safety! NO!! ANOTHER week where I don’t want ANYONE to go home from the bottom three. Canada is really effing this up for me.

Once again, the solos were stunning. Amy was brilliant and I LOVED her music; so talented. Jamie Rae rocked out the solo to Michael Buble, with a cutsicle little top hat. Natalie krumped something fierce, but unfortunately I think her solo was the weakest of the girls.

Vincent’s solo was typical rock-star-ballroom, with some awkward gymnastics thrown into the middle – not necessarily the best decision. Daniel rocked out with his shirt off and nailed his solo, hard. Danny was the last solo, and HE WAS AMAZING. Stunning, gorgeous song, amazing dancing. I LOVE DANNY.

After the judges sped off to the Dairy Queen down the street for a quick blizzard treat, they returned to announce their decisions. Starting with the girls, not surprisingly, Natalie was sent home (thank goodness, cause that girl was getting too close to my boy Danny). Next up were the guys, do different and all so dreamy. After Vincent was sent to safety I started to hyperventilate. DANNY WAS SENT HOME?! WHAT THE HELL JUST FUCKING HAPPENED!? THE TWO HOTTEST/BEST MEN WERE SENT HOME BACK TO BACK?! AND I STILL HAVE TO WATCH EMANUEL DANCE?! Worst. Night. Ever.
