NBC Renews ‘Superstore’ For Season 5

Attention Cloud 9 shoppers. Your favorite faux big-box store is staying open a bit longer. NBC just renewed Superstore for a fifth season.

“Week after week, Justin Spitzer, our amazing writers and cast and crew masterfully deliver a comedy that not only makes us laugh but speaks to the larger issues of the day,” NBC’s co-presidents of scripted programming Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta said in a statement.

The NBC sitcom is averaging a 1.4 rating in the 18-to-49-year-old demographic while ringing up 4.4 million viewers per episode in the Live+7 ratings. It returns with new episodes this Thursday.

Superstore joins fellow peacock renewals Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, Will & Grace, New Amsterdam and the Chicago franchise.
