Companies spend insane amounts of money for ad space during Super Bowl due to all the eyeballs fixated on the television. It seems a little odd when a company creates a commercial but only intends to show it to one person. That’s exactly the approach Skittles is taking for their Super Bowl LII commercial. According to the candy company, their final ad will only be shown to 17-year-old Marcos Menendez of Los Angeles.
“The highly exclusive ad will not be leaked to the public, and no, this is not a joke. The ad will be revealed to Marcos on Super Bowl Sunday on Skittles’ Facebook page,” the company revealed. “Menendez’s reaction is the only thing the public will be able to view on Facebook and no one else besides him will ever see the ad, not even Schwimmer.”
To build the hype, the former Friends actor stars in a quartet of teasers. He shows off four different characters, each quirkier than the next. All share the ungrammatical tagline “Exclusive the rainbow. Taste the rainbow.” Check them out below.
