WOW. Oprah really can do ANYTHING. In arguably the best and shocking commercial from this year’s Super Bowl. The Late Night talk show rivals and the Queen of daytime participated in the the funniest moment from the telecast. I was lying on the couch and nursing my flu when the commercial came on. When the short clip finished, I literally stood up and clapped my hands- it was that funny.

Never in a million years, would I have thought that Jay Leno and Letterman would participate together in an ad for Letterman’s Late Night Show. It’s very well documented that the two aren’t the best BFFs. If you also factor in Oprah and Letterman’s former long-standing feud from years past, the commercial is that much cooler.

For Leno and NBC to agree to this must’ve been equivalent to eating humble pie. Its obviously part of a huge damage control plan and attempt for Leno to win back some of his old fans and restore his image. I have to admit, this is the funniest and coolest things Leno has done in ages.

So how did three of the biggest names pull this off without anyone knowing? According to the LA Times, Leno secretly boarded a flight to NYC and snuck into the Ed Sullivan Theater wearing sunglasses, hoodie and a fake moustache. No word as of yet has surfaced on who negotiated the “peace summit” of sorts, but word has it that Letterman wrote the promo himself.
