Oh man do I have a little bit of a $h!t mix for you. There is really no rhyme or reason to this li’l group of ditties today, but they’re all representing the sun coming out, cruising in a car with the window open on the way to the beach, and coming home sunburned and lazy. Wait, did I just describe the last couple weeks of my life? I THINK SO! Got a wicked British pop star, an American hip-hop chica, and an Australian group I have fond mem’z of.

1. Zombie – Natalia Kills

Do you know Natalia. Wait. What? You don’t. YOU SHOULD! Kills’ debut album Perfectionist is a dirty pop dream, you know, the sweaty kind where you wake up breathing hard. And she WILL blow up in North America soon enough, so climb on the Kills train. She’s opened for Kelis, and for Robyn in their UK tours, and is opening for Ke$ha on her UK leg. She’s sexy and trashy as hell and her music is unbubbled British pop to the core. Although some of her other singles which you should youtube immedatement are a little more catchy, the combo of this video and song together gets my goat. Fact: I am a zombie movie fanatic. This video makes you feel like you’re watching something pirated you may get arrested for watching, and the slick down beats keep me wantin’ more Natalia.

2. Gucci Gucci – Kreayshawn

Can I please preface this by saying I really didn’t want this song in my head. Really truly. I can’t help it. It’s too catchy. Highschool dropout Kreayshawn is in the works of making an album, having just signed with Sony, but for now we get this piece. She kinda’ drives me nuts, and I feel like I’m looking at an arrogant Main St. hipster, but it’s like a train wreck I can’t stop watching. Tell me you won’t have this chorus in your head, TELL ME! TELL ME I’M NOT ALONE! I can’t defend this. Here. Take it.

3. Magic Fountain – Art vs. Science

Just found out Art vs. Science is coming to Vancouver for cheap at the end of August, and I’m stoked. They put on a killer show which you can see HERE from when I was in Australia last time. AVS had their hit Parlez-Vous Francais which was an ANTHEM that summer, but there’s a lot of great tracks on their album The Experiment. The only reason they became so popular so quickly actually is because Triple J, the best radio station in the WORLD had their “Unearthed” competition, and the band won the comp. This video is entertaining, the song is killer dancey, and I’ll be there with bells on to see them in my own city at the end of summer.
