Find Out Who’s Replacing Will Smith As Deadshot In ‘Suicide Squad 2’?

Just last week, it was revealed that Will Smith isn’t returning to play Deadshot for Suicide Squad 2. Reportedly, it was due to a scheduling conflict. Makes sense given the news that Smith is set to play Venus and Serena Williams’ father in the upcoming biopic, King Richard. He’s also currently filming another Bad Boys film and promoting the live-action Aladdin remake.

With Smith gone, some thought Deadshot might not appear in the superhero sequel. Turns out, the antihero sniper will join the supervillain team after all for their next mission. The Hollywood Reporter reveals Idris Elba is in talks to take over for Smith in the James Gunn-directed flick. Great choice if you ask me.

Elba can next be seen hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend, the upcoming Fast & Furious spinoff, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, and the Netflix comedy Turn Up Charlie dropping March 15.
